Mr. David H. Jacobs, the managing attorney and founder of The Law Offices of David H. Jacobs, has over 24 years of experience in civil and criminal practice in Federal and State Courts and Administrative agencies in New York, the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. He has first chair jury trial experience in over 30 cases. He began his legal career as a judicial law clerk and entered private practice in 1990 with Carr, Goodson & Lee, a Washington D.C. litigation firm, where he became partner in 1998. In 2000, he moved the Labor & Employment practice at Miller Canfield Paddock & Stone. Since 2002, Mr. Jacobs has run his own practice in both D.C. and New York, focusing primarily on personal injury, civil rights and complex litigation while continuing to represent large construction and medical supply companies in D.C. and Virginia. In addition to trial work, he regularly counsels large companies on their labor, employment, and insurance issues, including compliance with ERISA, and handles complex, multi district litigation in areas ranging from interstate commerce and regulatory compliance to products liability matters. He also represents individuals in matters ranging from white collar criminal matters, medical malpractice, and personal injury to Civil Rights/1983 litigation where he represents individuals who have had their civil rights violated by government agencies, school districts, and prosecutor's and state and local police agencies. Mr. Jacobs has successfully argued cases in the Courts of Appeal in New York, the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
